Shadowplay is a direct, visceral encounter with generative AI as a creative material, something to explore with your body, through gesture, pose and touch. First shown at EMF 2024, it has changed and evolved significantly. Come and help conjure something out of light, sound, movement and the machine. We'll be setting up our real-time AI image generator to provide weird and wonderful visuals. Noise-makers, instruments, visual curiosities, dancers, movers and fidgeters... bring whatever you've got. Anyone with a audio/visual source and anyone who fancies their hand at live-prompting the machine and steering the whole thing somewhere interesting. No plan, no rehearsal, no idea what'll happen... that's the point. Drop in for five minutes or stay for the whole two hours. Performers, tinkerers, prompt-wranglers and the plain curious all welcome.
