MANKY TEA TOWEL MAKING WORKSHOP
Workshop by Oliver Bates & Ben Kirman (he/him)
The Museum of Manky Tea Towels is leaking… This workshop is an opportunity for you to make up and mank up a tea towel of your own. Reanimate tea towels that have been forgotten in cupboards and charity shops, reclaiming, reusing and recycling to tell your own stories, and to chart your own maps This is a drop-in workshop: We have fabric pens, inks, stamps, dyes, needles and threads. Feel free to bring your own materials too! We can help you come up with ideas, and tips for embracing the mank. Please select and bring a tea towel or two from the museum to use as the raw material. Grab them off the line and bring them along. We also have plenty of “blank” tea towels, and kind donations from radicalteatowel.co.uk After the workshop you can keep your tea towel or donate it back to the museum. http://manky.website
