Kubernetes has had a rapid ascent to default cloud infrastructure. However, this didn’t happen simply because Google open sourced it. This talk will share the messy human side of the community architecture and how that investment has paid dividends in bringing more under represented minorities into open source leadership. I’ll offer tips and tricks to intentionally manage humans when you have no authority. you can also expect some of the more complicated situations explosive growth combined with emergent organizing can lead to when governed by those who show up.
