Intro to Basic Electronics

Workshop by Haly

Saturday from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM in Workshop 2

I'm a software developer and anthousiastic volunteer with the Restart Project, co-organising Rosie the Restarter skill shares for women to learn how to tinker and repair things. I want to share a session I run for the Rosies, where we go through some of the basic skills for fixing household electronic appliances with the aim of building up our skills and confidence to actually start fixing. We will be looking into safety issues; how to use a multimeter ; and how to wire a plug, or change a fuse. If you are a female or non-binary person and want to share your skills please come forward and help out. Please note, this is a very beginners workshop and is aimed at making people feel comfortable learning; not a place for dudes to brag about their knowledge.

Attending this workshop will cost Free
Suitable age range any, but kids must be accompanied by adult please
Attendees should bring Their multimeter if they have one and don't know how to use it
