Flight Plotter

Chris Lynas: A 3d printed open-source pen plotter that continuously draws the flight paths of all aircraft close enough for their ADSB signals to be received on the site. ADSB is a standard that many aircraft use that allows them to broadcast who they are, where they are, their attitude and other information. The plotter is connected to a laptop with a software defined radio used to receive the ADSB signals and code to interpret the positions of the aircraft into movement commands that are used to drive the plotter in real time

Over each day (there should be pretty much no aircraft overnight, normally there should be a NOTAM warning of lazors to ensure they know to keep clear so the plotter normally won't be running then) the data will build up to show the flight paths around EMF
