Talk by Amy Mather (She / They (use both interchangably)) ⚠️

Sunday from 4:10 PM - 4:40 PM in Stage C

This talk has the following content notes:
Includes my personal accounts of disability discrimination, mental health & SA. I have Tourettes so might swear.

In 2017 I got the hiccups and they never went away. 3 years later I was diagnosed with severe tourettes. Since then I've learned a lot more about the way my body works and what it needs to thrive. Trauma, neurodiversity, queerness, and disability have all made the world a harder place for me to navigate, join me as I discuss what I've learned about standing up for myself and others along the way! From being a wellbeing representative at university for 3 years to figuring out how to be disabled and Queer in the workplace, I'll let you know what went well, what went wrong, and suggest some learnings you can take into your own life!
